Always Optimistic
Listen Up World.
I’ll always be optimistic in the direction of our Cincinnati Bengals. I go into every week thinking that they can win. Its in my nature. I believe that any time you put a guy like Carson Palmer on the field, there is a chance. When you throw in guys like Chad Johnson, TJ, and a tough guy like Big Willie, it betters your shot. However, we do certainly have some issues, and Im here to tackle those issues. Let me know what you think…
Problem 1: It all starts with the head coach. This guy has NO emotion. And on defense, it would appear they take this same demeanor! I hear people pose the question; “Are you really ready to give up on Marvin?” Quite frankly, yes. I hear people say “well it’s year 5, marvin has to get it going.” Well to those people I say… What makes him so special that he gets 5 Years? I’ve given you my opinion, now, You tell me…
Problem 2: Strength and Conditioning. I know its the NFL, but do you see 31 other NFL teams that have the injuries the Bengals have? Think about the guys down… Rashad Jeanty, Ahmad Brooks, Levi Jones, Eric Chiaciuc, Tab Perry, Chris Perry, Kenny Irons, adam kieft, eric henderson, and bennie brazell. These are just the guys that could be considered solid contributors to this team. Lets not forget about the guys that are toughing out injuries on the field which also hurts team play. Guys like J. Joseph, Willie, and now Caleb Miller. This issue needs to be addressed, wouldnt you agree?
Problem 3: Rudi Johnson’s lack of running ability. It was said that he lost all this weight and become stronger, faster, and more agile. Well we’ve been waitin to see that for about 19 games now. All I see his him shuffling his feet into the hole and then fallling down. Needs to lower his head and RUN! Im not gonna tell you that Kenny Watson is the answer, but you know when he’s in your gonna get his best shot. How would you fix this issue?
Problem 4: Special Teams. Holy Smokes have we had issues. Since the last 3 games of last year our special teams has helped our team implode. Our special teams is so bad, that we blocked a FG kick in Seattle and it still went right through. Here again, injuries hurt this aspect of the game. How do you fix it…. Fire the coach?
Problem 5: Simple Fundamentals. How many of you were taught in pop warner league football that if your a ball handler, you wrap that ball with both hands as soon as you get in traffic! TJ didnt do it on Sunday and neither did Glen Holt. 2 turnovers, 1 (holts) was possibly game ruining. Football is about fundamentals first. Does Marvin provide good fundamentals? I mean he’s always talking about gap discipline, how well does he teach these guys?
Again, these are just some things that i see that are very wrong with our Bengals! If you agree or disagree with me, let me know. If you have other problems you see, let me know.
WHODEY!
