Bengals for the win

What’s up World?
So here we are, everyone’s favorite time of year! It’s time for the thin, clean air of fall. You know what Im talking about… when you walk out the front door and you can feel that slightly crisp chill in the air that provokes you to put on your bengals sweatshirt. The one you bought at the end of last season when it was on sale. Hey, no offense, I do it too. But speaking of them Bengals, lets get to business.

Some fans in the area seem to be concerned about our beloved bengals this season, but I am here to tell you that you dont have to worry because everything will fall into place. The right place that is, and if your like me, the only right place is back in the play-offs! WHO DEY!
Listen, the bengals were one field goal kick away from making it to the dance last year. That’s after a season in which we lost All-Pro center Richie Braham (for the whole year), Left Tackle Levi Jones (for part of the season), OLB David Pollack (possibly career ending), WR Chris Henry (missing 2 games due to stupidity), the up and coming fire ball Odell Thurman (for the whole year), No RB Chris Perry, LB Brian Simmons (hurt all year), and an eventual Hall of Fame QB that just came off a major knee injury. C.P. was skiddish at best in the pocket for the first 8 games. We will also not forget the aging Tory James, who may have had 10 picks as a bengal a couple years back, but, he was also the guy that gave up more than 10 touchdowns as Recievers blew by him.

So lets re-cap: thats all 3 starting linebackers, 2 starting offensive linemen, a 3rd down back that would be essential to any team, a WR who hauls in a TD every 6 or 7 catches, a Carson Palmer who just wasnt right early. Oh yeah, and that ageless wonder that could have been faster if he were pushed around in a wheel chair, Tory James. All these things, and we were still just a field goal kick away from being a play-off contender!
Now, I understand that many of you will say “well injuries are a part of the game nick d.!”, and you would be right. They are. But, if you take key components away from any team they would be lucky to have won any games much less contend for a play-off spot. This season, I believe that we have remedied a lot of the shortcomings of last year. We have a much faster, more agile, and athletic J. Joe starting corner. A very fast, and talented linebacking core. Yes, they are young, very young, but thats how you grow! These linebackers will gel, give them just a couple games. Also, those injuries on the o-line that hurt us last year, will greatly help us this year. Those young fellows have now got NFL experience and they’ll be more than ready to protect the guy that will lead them to the promise. I dont see more than 20 sacks on Palmer this year.

Speaking of Palmer, that bottled up can of gas thats just ready to explode with fire and passion, he will be back on the same page that he ended last year. The best qb the last 8 games of the year. But you say to me, “but nick d., he doesnt have henry this year, or a third down back to swing it out to, or a TE to squeeze one over the middle”, and to that I say… right, right, and right. Well partially right, C. Hen will be back just in time for the Bengals to make their play-off push. As for those other two weanesses, I say to you, CARSON IS A LEADER, and LEADERS FIND A WAY! Not to mention, we could all be slightly off on Reggie kelly. He is also a leader, and a man. If you dont have faith, you cant believe! A player as great as Carson doesnt need all the pieces… just a few of them to make it happen. Did Tom Brady 3 out of 4 seasons, NO! Carson doesnt need a number 1 defense to win, or even a number 10 D. Did Peyton Manning last season, NO!

The bottom line:
This defense will need some time to gel, no doubt about it. But during that time (6 games at the most) Carson will be carving up opponents using his 3 sharpest weapons… C.J., T.J., and R.J.

If our boys can start off the year atleast 3W,3L after 6 games, you will see these youngsters start exploding into Running backs, and quarterbacks, and all the faith will be restored! Pittsburgh was the “Steel Curtain” and we’ll be the “Bengal Blinds” because quarterbacks will only see the stripes busting through there own offensive lines!

WHO DEY! BENGALS 26-RAVENS 23 (in a close one)
