Defense! Defense! Defense!

World, How in the heck are ya?

For you local Bengals fans, and for all fans around the world, what did you think of that nasty Bengals Defense?!?

Wow, from the very first defensive series of the game on Monday Night between the Bengals Vs. Ravens, I was impressed. Press coverage on the corners, guys blitzing from every plausible angle, balls falling into the hands of our defense! Again I say, WOWWWWW! I am down right giddy after one week of defense… I mean Bengals football! I heard one radio show host nickname the Bengals defense… are you ready for this? “The Bresna-hammers!” Whoa, how awesome is that.

All though, Im not ready to stand on the roof tops and shout that Bresnahan is the greatest D coordinator ever because thats simply not going to happen. I had my questions just like everyone. But, if you show me 4 or 5 more games like that, I will be a believer (as really, I all ready am, and always have been), and……. and, I’ll show you a Bengals team that will be a play-off contender!

On the other side of the football, I hear these rumblings of Carson “The Canon” Palmer stinking up the joint. Whoa, whoa, whoa hold your thoughts ladies and gentlemen. The guy had a passer rating over 100. And for you whom dont care about passer ratings (i really dont myself) he was 20 for 32, almost 200 yards, 2 TD’s and NO turnovers! Yes he over threw a few balls, as any QB will, and a couple WR’s dropped some passes. As any WR will. Carson did his job… he didnt lose the game! And for once in his tenure as a Bengals, THE DEFENSE DID! Fantastic!

Good things: Defense, Carson, Chad

So, So: TJ missed a ball or two, the O-line, need some work on Defense over the top

Needs work: Tab Perry, Rudi Johnson (HIT THE HOLE!) (Hold the football), Special Teams coverage and kicking

Final Take: After all the worrying the pre-season brought us, we can now all realize that it really doesnt give you a full look into the year ahead. The Bengals are going to be okay, and DO NOT be surprised to see them playing late in January (atleast)!
